¡Feliz Navidad!

Merry Christmas! I am here in Cusco staying at Loki Hostal. It´s an old mansion converter into a hostal. I think there are like 100 people staying here. It´s packed. I´m sharing a dorm room with 9 other people all of which come and go at all hours of the night. For Christmas Eve there was a delicious BBQ dinner. Now I´m counting down the hours til the turkey dinner tonight. The people are great here, the beds are comfy and the showers are hot, all of which make being away from home on Christmas a little easier. I miss you all and hope you´re having a very merry Christmas!

The Plan

Moved by Eat Pray Love, I decided to take a similar journey. In the book, Elizabeth Gilbert has 3 purposes: to experience pleasure by eating and learning Italian in Italy, to pray in India and to find balance between the two in Indonesia. She inspired me to clarify my intentions as well:

1. In South America, I intend to get back to nature by camping, learning about nature and, of course, lying on the beach.

2. In India, I intend to study yoga and meditation.

3. In Africa, I intend to volunteer with an organization that teaches about health or life skills through sports.

I´ll see if I can stick to the plan.
